History
They were first bred in the early 1990s and are a cross between the Golden Retriever and Poodle. They were bred in order to produce a large friendly dog not prone to shedding, and thus, the Goldendoodle was born.
  Care and Health
Your goldendoodle puppy should visit a professional groomer for the first time after her 16-week immunizations. Be sure to request a “puppy clip.” The groomer will bathe her, trim the hair out of her eyes, give her a sanitary clip, and trim her nails. The breed is prone to subvalvular aortic stenosis, a heart condition.
