History
The Shih Tzu originated in China and was very popular among royalty, they made their way to Tibet where they were revered. It wasn't until the 20th century when this breed made their way to England as a gift to Queen Elizabeth. They came to the United States in the 1960s.
Care and Health
Daily walks are needed as well as frequent baths and multiple brushing sessions a week.
Fun Fact
Proven to be one of the oldest breeds, skeletal remains have been found as old as 10,000 years ado and paintings with this breed have been found from early as the 1500s.
